Telehealth Consent

Last updated October 27, 2026

Care through ARJ Lifestyle is provided by telehealth: a licensed provider reviews the information you submit online instead of seeing you in person. California law asks that you understand and agree to this before receiving care. You give this consent when you create your account.

What telehealth involves

A licensed provider reviews your health questionnaire and order. The provider may approve, decline, or contact you for more information, including by phone.

Benefits and limits

Telehealth can make care more convenient. It also has limits: the provider cannot examine you in person, and decisions depend on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. In rare cases, technical problems may delay a review.

If the provider decides telehealth isn’t appropriate for you, they will decline the order and may recommend in-person care.

Your rights

  • You may withdraw consent and stop using the service at any time without affecting your right to future care elsewhere.
  • You may choose in-person care instead.
  • Your health information is protected by the same privacy laws that apply to in-person care.
  • You may ask for a copy of your records.

Emergencies

This service is not for emergencies. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
